2. Product Authenticity & Pricing

All gold jewellery sold by D&A Jewellery is authentic 22-carat gold, and all diamond jewellery is 100% certified. We endeavour to ensure all product images, weights, and descriptions are accurate. All prices are displayed in AUD and are subject to stock availability and live gold market fluctuations.

3. Guarantee & Warranty Terms

All D&A jewellery is guaranteed against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a reasonable period from the date of purchase. Any remedy provided under this guarantee will be determined solely at the discretion of D&A Jewellery and may include repair, replacement, or store credit where appropriate.

General Guarantee Conditions:

1. Manufacturing Faults Only: This guarantee strictly applies to manufacturing faults and does not extend to damage, deterioration, or defects resulting from misuse, accidents, neglect, normal wear and tear, improper care, unauthorised repairs, resizing, alterations, or exposure to chemicals or harsh conditions.
2. Final Assessment: Any assessment of whether a defect is a manufacturing fault will be made solely by D&A Jewellery, whose decision will be final.
3. Validation & Documentation: The guarantee is valid only when completed in full and signed by an authorised D&A Jewellery representative at the time of purchase. Proof of purchase must be provided for all claims.
4. Clean Condition: Items must be returned in a reasonably clean condition. D&A Jewellery reserves the right to refuse assessment or charge cleaning fees where items are excessively soiled.
5. Timeframes: Assessment and repair timeframes are estimates only. While generally completed within 20 business days, delays may occur due to parts availability, supplier timelines, or workload.
6. Consumable Finish Exclusions: Rhodium plating (commonly applied to white gold, two-tone gold, and sterling silver items) is a consumable finish and is not covered under this guarantee. Re-plating services are available at an additional cost.
7. Non-Transferable: This guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

4. Care & Maintenance Obligations

Jewellery is delicate and requires proper care. Damage such as scratches, dents, bent components, worn claws, or stone loss due to wear is not considered a manufacturing defect. Customers are responsible for ongoing maintenance, including regular inspections and cleaning. Failure to properly maintain jewellery may void this guarantee.

5. Obligations & Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, D&A Jewellery’s liability under this guarantee is limited to repair of the item, replacement with a comparable item, issuing store credit, or refunding where required by law. D&A Jewellery will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage.

6. Shipping & Delivery Terms

Standard shipping fees apply to all orders and are calculated at checkout. Free shipping is not offered. All deliveries require signature upon receipt for security.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Where a failure does not amount to a major failure, D&A Jewellery reserves the right to choose to repair or replace the goods within a reasonable timeframe.
